Cape Verde enjoys a hot and dry climate during most of the year. Two seasons are distinguished: one, dry, runs from the end of October to the beginning of July. It is less hot and is characterized by strong winds, especially in December and February. The other, wet season, known as the "rainy season", extends from August to October with the months of September and October with fairly high temperatures in Cape Verde.
