Since 2005, the International Storytelling Festival in Togo is organized by the cultural ensemble Les Griots noirs du Togo, in partnership with the Compagnie Belerrance from France. It was created with the aim of promoting, safeguarding and perpetuating storytelling and other traditional oral arts. It takes place in different cities of the maritime region, notably in Tsévié, and also sometimes in Benin and Burkina Faso. Storytellers from all over the world are invited, leading workshops and evenings to the delight of the audience.
