Campement de l'Île d'Egueye is an ecolodge located in the mangrove swamps of Basse Casamance, Senegal. The island is uninhabited, making it ideal for travelers in search of tranquility and unspoiled nature. Accessible by pirogue from the small village of Diakène Ouoloff, the camp offers accommodation in traditional huts, as well as a restaurant and bar equipped with wifi. Visitors can take advantage of the unique mangrove environment, one of the best preserved in the region, with pirogue rides, rice paddy walks, kayaking and mountain biking. The restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the bolong and serves dishes based on fresh fish caught by local fishermen, accompanied by vegetables grown in Diakène Ouoloff's vegetable gardens. The camp is easily accessible from Cap Skirring, Oussouye or Carabane.

Place calm, splendid, delightful heavenly: clean, white sand, colourful birds, monkeys nearby trees varied, soft air moderated by the river, small sandy beaches, huts mangrove or bamboo, African showers, hammocks, everything is there to relax. Very stylish restaurant on the waterfront and delicious meal. Solar energy. You feel more like guests, including tourists. Naturally, are offered to us cashews assembled and grilled on site, the tasting " bread singe" , sincere oysters, smiles, joie de vivre... Experienced guide attached to its region, piroguier outstanding especially when sailing is exit, Mamadou happily made its knowledge of the bolongs, fauna and flora, African cultures and Diola, history, local activities... For its entourage also Mamadou has the direction of sharing and its activity has all, local small shops, craftsmen, employed... Many young people learn with him. All made of Efrane a magical and lively place where it is good to stay, where beautiful meetings also happens between visitors, where you can relax.
And it is affordable financially, even in family budget.
