With regard to assisted suicide, the Dignitas association, established in Switzerland and Germany, provides its members with support that respects human dignity, provided by trained personnel after an examination of the applicant's motivations. It also provides them with legally valid advance directives which must be observed by doctors and hospitals. In order to ensure that these directives are respected, the association will, if necessary, seek the direct assistance of a lawyer... Finally, it provides its members with personalized assistance.
