It is in Croatia on the southern coast of the Adriatic Sea that we find ourselves. It has a rich historical heritage and breathtaking scenery: beaches of fine sand, rocks or pebbles. There's something for everyone! Dubrovnik is a timeless fortified city whose history dates back to antiquity. Its architecture is unique, with both Latin and Slavic influences. We will stroll through its cobbled streets and courtyards, visit the Rector's Palace, one of the last preserved Renaissance masterpieces of the city, walk along the ramparts to admire the two great and sublime gates of the old town. And from the old port, we'll have a breathtaking view of the Elaphite Islands

Duvronik is also closely linked to Game of Thrones and many fans come to see King's Landing, the capital of the Seven Crowns. The Stack Gate is the entrance to the city where many riots take place. There is also the rue Saint-Dominique, at the stairs leading to the monastery, where Tyrion listened to a man criticize King Joffrey in front of a crowd of disgruntled people. There is also the ethnographic museum which is the brothel of Little Finger in the series. One can relive the scene of Cersei's "walk of shame" along the Rue des Jésuites. Many tours are organized by tourist agencies to bring back to life the mythical scenes of the series for all the nostalgic people who still have trouble recovering from the end of the series!

But Dubrovnik is also nearby islands, to make a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is the island of Lokrum and its natural swimming pool, connected to the sea in the north of the island, of a translucent blue-green colour. We will venture to the Pelješac peninsula where we will taste seafood products in Mali Ston in a unique setting. On the island of Korčula, you will be under the spell of its magnificent Renaissance port city but also to sunbathe on the sandy beach of Lumbarda. Finally, we will embark for the island of Mljet, farther from the continent than the others and for this reason more authentic. It's a hiker's paradise.

A sunny destination to discover with Stéphan Szeremeta in a podcast on Bel RTL. Here is the link to listen to us :-)
