The Itshibwela Mushi ceremony, held in Mkushi, brings together the Bisa, Saka and Lala peoples in traditional dances.
The Itshibwela Mushi ceremony, held in September at Mkushi (on Grant North Road after Kapiri Moshi) is multicultural. It brings together many peoples and their chiefs in one big celebration, mainly from the Bisa, Saka and Lala peoples. They thank the gods for being able to return to their land after moving during the planting season. The ceremony consists mainly of a series of traditional dances of the different ethnic groups.
