Yangon's hotel park has a capacity that is quite sufficient to accommodate the influx of tourists that the capital is experiencing. The authorities are betting on a real explosion of luxury tourism and the big hotels grew like mushrooms when the country opened its doors. The price of accommodation in Yangon is relatively higher than in the rest of the country, but it is possible to find very cheap accommodation in the city centre. Prices are generally three times higher than in the rest of Southeast Asia

To be booked

In high season, extremes are taken to extremes: the cheap guest houses in the city centre fill up very quickly. We advise you to book at least a few days in advance, or to arrive when the rooms are vacated, around noon. Luxury or charming hotels are full several months in advance. On the other hand, mid-range hotels are an easier option to find in a hurry, as they are numerous and their lack of charm makes them addresses that you do not look for in priority.

What's very local

Downtown guest houses are often located in former colonial houses that have been converted and are full of charm! Once on the roads of the country, one can, during a trek from Kalaw to Inle for example, sleep directly at the inhabitant's house, and be truly pampered by our guests
