On March 22nd, the Persian New Year is the main celebration of the bektashi community but also of the harmony between the cults.
Nevruz (Nevruzi) is an official festival organized in about ten countries of the Iranian sphere of influence. It is the Persian New Year and the celebration of the spring equinox in the Zoroastrian religion. In Albania, the tradition, of Turkish origin, became established after the arrival of the Ottomans. A holiday, Nevruz now has three meanings here: it is the main religious celebration of the bektashi community, a symbol of harmony between the different cults and also a festival with a pagan character marking the arrival of spring.
