Timetable

As in France, the nightlife really starts around 10pm and goes on until the end of the night.

Happy hours are usually from 6 to 8 pm, although each establishment chooses its own hours for this.

To be booked

It is advisable, if not essential, to make reservations for theater, opera or concerts, for example. Otherwise, the other festivities are generally free.

Night transport

Buses stop running at night, except in Sofia which has a night bus network to return at night. The other solution is to take a taxi which are available everywhere in the big cities of Bulgaria. Note that Uber does not exist in this country.

Age restrictions

The consumption of alcohol is permitted for persons over 18 years of age. You may therefore be asked for your identity card or passport at the slightest doubt.

Smokers

It is forbidden to smoke in closed public places since 2012, so this includes bars, cafes, clubs, theaters, theaters...
