In general, the stores are open from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6/7pm, sometimes also on Sundays, ask for information on site!

Markets are held regularly several times a week in all cities of Mada.

What's very local

In the markets and other small stores, you will easily find handicrafts to bring back from your trip: carved wood, basketry or carved stones in particular. Spices are also nice souvenirs to bring back from the Big Island. Everything can be traded in Madagascar. In the artisanal markets, you can reduce the prices by at least 25%, sometimes more.
