During this great folk festival, young men from the Schei district parade on horseback in traditional costume.
This traditional festival takes place one week after Easter. On Sundays, young men from the Schei district, south of the historic centre, parade on horseback from Sfatului Square to Unirii Square in traditional costume and engage in medieval games such as club throwing. Processions and games are held on Sundays, to commemorate the only day of the week when the Romanians of Schei were allowed to enter the Saxon city. The festivities end on the Tâmpa hill, where the folk dances last for hours.
