Highway No. 6 was opened in the 2000 s. It also bears the name Yitzhak Rabin Highway. At the beginning of 2016, after several extensions, it extends over 140 km between Southern Ma'ahaz Interchange, 50 km north of Being'er Sheva, and In Nain Interchange, south-east of Haifa. It is paid, outside a part between Be'er Sheva and Soreq Interchange (which can change in the future). There is no physical toll, only a photograph of the registration plate of your vehicle is taken when you borrow the pay sections on your journey. Therefore, do not expect to be arrested at the start or arrival by barriers but, on the other hand, to be taken from the amount due by the rental company to return your vehicle (usually several weeks after). The signs indicating the pay motorway shall include the abbreviation of the shekel: .
