Founded in 1948 on the eve of the creation of the State of Israel, Maariv (Evening) belongs to the Nimrodi family. The title is commonly ranked on the right, and the title of its competitor Yediot Yediot, in the image of its competitor, Yediot Yediot, is high. Maariv defends a nationalist right-wing editorial line and identifies itself with a liberal vision. Between 1948 and 1977, it was a haven of independence in the face of a state dominated without sharing by Labour institutions and organs. His daily edition is often sensationnaliste while two outstanding supplements are present in his Saturday edition.
