Every year, this woven bridge, which dates back to the Inca period, is rebuilt and wears out. It spans the Apurímac river in the village of Quehue, Canas province, Cusco department. The bridge has been listed as a Unesco intangible cultural heritage since 2013. This tradition has grown and attracts large crowds who come to see the population working the vegetable fiber to form the hundreds of meters of rope needed to form this bridge of 28 meters long and 1.20 meters wide. The work usually starts on the first Sunday in June.
