Bars are open from 10am to 11pm Monday to Friday, 10am to midnight on Saturday and 10am to 10pm on Sunday. In tourist centers, bars can stay open well into the night, especially for organized or impromptu parties.

Stores open from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on weekdays, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays. In the main urban centers, most stores do not close during lunch time. Supermarkets are open every day until 7pm, except on Sundays when they only open in the morning. Government offices, banks and businesses are closed on public holidays and public transport, especially air transport, reduces the number of flights.
