At the full moon of Vissakh, which usually takes place in May, is celebrated the triple anniversary of the birth, the Illumination and the death of Buddha. This ceremony of Buddhist fervor, the most important religious festival of the year, takes place in all the monasteries of the kingdom and also in Phnom Penh in front of the Cakya Muni Chettiya reliquary. An opportunity to meet the faithful and the monks and to observe the local religious customs.
