Chong Kneas is the place where the Siem Reap River reaches the Grand Lake, 15 km south, that you can rent a boat to visit these picturesque villages. Thousands of people live there, in floating houses, and all activities revolve around fishing: huge fish plantations in floating cages, factories of prahok and teuk treï… This does not feel very good, but the change is guaranteed. Unfortunately, it has become a real catch-up, the prices charged are far too high. It is better to go to Kompong Pluk… Plan half a day for a satisfactory visit. Bring hats and solar creams, cost of renting the boat: $ 5 to $ 15.

Sur le Tonle Sap
Départ de Kampong Khleang. Une belle expérience que l’approche en bateaux et la découverte des ces villages « perchés «  sur pilotis ( certains à plus de 8m) . Période des basses eaux et donc on peux circuler à pieds ou motorisé. À faire quelque soit la saison

Villages flottants Ton lé Sap
Les villages flottants de Kompong Phluk sont très fréquentés par les touoristes. Nous avons préférés ceux de Prek Toal où nous avons passé une nuit chez l'habitant. L'expérience fut super même si nous n'avons pas fermé l'œil de la nuit. Le parcours de Prek Toal à Battambang fut jonché de villages de pêcheurs avec d'immenses installations de bambous pour la pêche

Cette ballade sur l'eau est un moment hors du temps... Le canal, le lac, les villages flottants, les crocodiles...
