In Belarus, the Christmas period is particularly intense, with the Catholic Christmas on 25 December, the New Year on 31 December -1 January, and the Orthodox Christmas on 7 January. In correspondence of these three dates, especially on the occasion of the Catholic Christmas, Belarus is organized the «na Koliady» Carnival, a celebration dedicated to the celebration of Catholic Christmas with traditional music, theatrical performances, disguises and songs.
