JOUR DE LA RUSSIE

The proclamation of independence from the USSR by the Russian Parliament is celebrated. A somewhat ceremonial holiday, but a very festive one!
The Feast of the Russian Federation has been celebrated on 12 June every year since 1994, the day of the adoption of the Declaration of the Sovereignty of the Russian Federation. It marks the beginning of the development of the country as a state based on the principles of constitutional federalism, equal rights and partnership. For almost half of Russians, if a parade is held in Moscow, this day is rather an opportunity to enjoy a public holiday.
