Committed, since its creation, to sustainable development, the Mauritian hotel group Attitude, which has no less than 8 hotels on the island, goes further and launches Positive Impact. This movement encourages a collective approach in which customers and business partners are invited to create the sustainable holidays of tomorrow. It is based on three main pillars:
1) Protecting the environment. For example, the Marine Discovery Center set up at the Lagoon Attitude hotel to study and protect the lagoon, raise awareness and inform local communities and travelers. Also the Zero Plastic Disposable Use Policy currently being applied in all the Group's hotels, etc.
2) Supporting the local economy. Attitude finances young companies whose values are in line with those of the group and at the same time favours the employment of Mauritians. Hotels are supplied, whenever possible, with locally grown products
3) Supporting the local community. At Attitude hotels, travellers are encouraged to discover local life through a series of Otentik experiences (e.g. dinner at a local family's home, the benefits of which are entirely paid back to the host family). The group also supports local talent
The launch of the Positive Impact movement builds on the success of the Green Attitude program initiated in 2010 and the Otentik Experiences inaugurated in 2012. It helps to continue to raise awareness of authentic Mauritius, promoting the same values of respect for the environment and support for the local economy
