When to go Maldives ?

Crossed by the equator, the Maldives enjoy a particularly stable climate. It's warm all year round, with air temperatures between 26 and 30 degrees and water temperatures around 29 degrees. The country is crossed by two monsoon seasons, the most intense of which, the south-west monsoon, runs from May to November. This doesn't mean that you won't have beautiful sunny days, or that it won't rain for the duration of your stay.

The climate is tropical, i.e. hot and humid in the Maldives. The temperature is stable, fluctuating very slightly around 30°C and rarely falling below 26°C. It varies only slightly between day and night. The air is cooled by a small, almost constant breeze. Annual rainfall rarely exceeds 1,900 mm and mainly occurs between May and September. Annual sunshine hovers around 2,800 hours, which is equivalent to about 8 hours of sunshine per day.
