Indonesia is an archipelago of more than 17,000 islands scattered between the Pacific and Indian Oceans. From Sumatra in the east, to Papua in the west, a mosaic of peoples and landscapes awaits you. Between sulfurous volcanoes and Buddhist or Hindu temples, you will evolve between green rice fields and deep jungles. Here, the white sandy beaches border a sea of jade where the beauty of the coral reefs rivals the abundance of multicoloured fish.

A warm and contrasting people!

Indonesia is also a patchwork of cultures and peoples, each with its own rituals and traditions. In Tana Toraja (Sulawesi), the balconies display mortuary effigies, while in Bali, the most Hindu of all the islands, it is with fervour that, throughout the day, offerings are placed here and there to thank the Gods.

Activities to fulfill all your wishes!

Lazing around will be seduced by the many dream beaches that this destination offers: turquoise water, sea of oil and sumptuous seabed are the key words for a successful stay.

As for the sportsmen, a plethora of activities awaits them: climbing the capricious Bromo volcano or the sulphurous Ijen on Java, diving to observe the hectic underwater life on the Raja Ampat islands in the Moluccan Sea, mountain bike rides in the terraced rice fields of Jatiluwith in Bali, or initiation to Ramayana dance...

Between a generous nature and exceptional cultural sites, Indonesia is home to islands, each one more astonishing than the next. Each one abounds in cultural or natural treasures that make this archipelago a jewel of the Pacific like no other.

When to go?

It is best to visit Indonesia during the dry season: from May to October, especially for the islands bathed by the Indian Ocean: Java, Bali, small islands of the Sunda and southern Sulawesi

The period from October to April is the best time to discover West Papua and the Moluccas. In Sumatra and Borneo, the rains slow down between June and September.
