Kazakhstan's largest (and currently only) cultural festival celebrates the dances, songs and music of Central Asia.
This contemporary ethnic festival celebrates the music and dance of Central Asia with concerts on a giant stage in the heart of Almaty. Kazakh, Uzbek and Kyrgyz dancers and musicians from all the Central Asian republics, as well as from Azerbaijan and Turkey, are invited to perform. The entire nomadic folk culture is celebrated over the two days of the festival through performances by internationally renowned artists. Entertainment starts around 12 noon, and concerts take place from 5pm to 10pm.
