Travelers accustomed to Asia are well acquainted with Jetstar Airways, the Australian low-cost airline (owned by Qantas Airways). One of its subsidiaries, Jetstar Japan, is based in Japan, in Tokyo to be precise. It began operations in July 2012. The company serves just over 10 destinations in Japan (Sapporo, Kagoshima, Naha (Okinawa), Fukuoka and Nagasaki). From Tokyo, you'll have to leave from Narita airport, the only drawback. Prices are competitive and affordable.
