Bus BUSES provide many connections between the different cities, and can sometimes replace the train when it does not exist (mainly in mountain areas or isolated countryside). It is recommended in some regions such as the Masurian and the Carpathians, because it allows you to admire the grandiose landscapes. The bus stations are recognizable by the symbol PKS, and are generally located in the centre of towns and villages, often adjacent to railway stations. On the hourly panels, the buses indicated in black (ordinary or zwykły) should be distinguished, which serve all stops, in green (semi-fast or przyspieszony), and in red (fast or pospieszny), comfortable but connecting only the important cities. Unlike trains, most buses do not operate on Sundays and public holidays. Read the billboards and ask for confirmation at the ATM.
