With a 90% Muslim population, the main Muslim religious holidays are celebrated, such as Eid-el-Kebir.

It is the most important Muslim holiday, important in a country where the population is 90% Muslim. The main Muslim religious holidays are therefore naturally celebrated. The Eid el-Kebir takes place at the end of the obligatory pilgrimage, on the tenth day of the lunar month of dhûl hijja. It commemorates the sacrifice that God asked of Abraham to test his faith. On this occasion, it is not uncommon to see along the roads small sellers of sheep, in anticipation of the sacrifice.
