Again, in the Orthodox rite, the date varies from year to year. It is set on thefirst Sunday after Pentecost, which itself occurs 50 days after Easter. It usually takes place in November, around the 10th. On this occasion, families go out and have a picnic in the cemeteries. It is a great family and popular celebration. Before leaving, everyone will make sure to leave food for the deceased. A rite that remains quite surprising when one is not familiar with the Orthodox religion.
