Don't look for meter to evaluate your race, Saint-Martinois taxis work without. Taxi bases are located at Juliana and Grand-Case airports and Marigot on the seafront. It may be that on the Dutch side only dollars are accepted. Drivers tend to put air conditioning deep, don't hesitate to ask them to drop if you don't want to turn into a ice cream!
