HÔTEL OUZBEKISTAN
This hotel, one of the oldest in Tashkent, built between 1974 and 1976 by Russian architects, is one of the city's symbols, in the middle, dominating Flotilla Timur. Its astonishing architecture, evoking an open book with, on the façade, which claims to be the symbol of koranic elements, has allowed for two decades all visitors to Uzbekistan, political personalities or the world of culture: Marcello Mastroiani, Pierre Richard or Sukarno, among others. The whole has been completely renovated but with uneven results according to the rooms. Try to visit those of the left wing, more successful. The hotel offers many high-end services: Gym, sauna, hairdresser, currency exchange office, shops, business center.
