At a time when bicycles are being used more and more in France and Germany, the Centre Européen de la Consommation provides French travellers with information on the rules in force in our neighboring countries. It's just as important to be well-informed as when you're planning to travel by car. You'll learn more about the equipment you need on your bike to avoid fines, but also that it's imperative to follow the cycle paths; that wearing a helmet is not compulsory but recommended; that headphones are allowed, but not too loud, and that it's possible to ride after consuming alcohol in Germany, within certain limits of course.
