We recommend staying in a bed & breakfast or inn in the charming medieval village of Gruyères, where the cheese of the same name has been produced according to ancestral recipes for almost 1,000 years. At the Gruyères market, you can sample Gruyère PDO and other local cheeses. And if you visit the La Maison du Gruyère museum, this Swiss cheese will no longer hold any secrets for you.
To continue this gourmet experience with a few sweet treats, it's time to head to Maison Cailler, also in the Fribourg region, to indulge in good chocolate and learn all about its manufacture thanks to its interactive museum, where you can even take part in a chocolate workshop. Miam Miam.
