When to go Channel Islands ?
High season starts at the beginning of May and lasts until the end of September. In the off-season, the weather is obviously more capricious, but you'll have the islands to yourself, far from the summer traffic jams. Beware, however, as many establishments close their doors. When it comes to festivities, the Channel Islands are rather dynamic and like to showcase their heritage. You won't have time to get bored!
The weather of the Channel Islands depends on its oceanic climate: there is little difference in temperature between summer and winter. The sunshine is around 2,000 hours per year, or more than 8 hours per day in summer. The presence of the Gulf Stream warms the waters, providing the Channel Islands with temperatures as high as 19°C on the coast in summer. Be careful, however, the nights are often cool, even in the summer months.
