There's a wide range of hotels to suit all budgets. In a youth hostel, you can expect to pay between €18 and €30 per person. For a little more comfort, you'll need to pay between €70 and €100 for a double room. And from €100 upwards, you'll have access to more luxurious establishments.

As always, last-minute booking websites can be an interesting way of finding good prices for comfort and luxury hotels.

There are also youth hostels and campsites. Backpackers, forget the idea of camping in the wild or sleeping under the stars on the beach - you could be seriously fined. To be booked

If you're on a budget, you'll need to plan ahead to find the best-value room that hasn't yet been booked. Websites such as AirBnB are also well placed to offer great deals all over the country. Self-catering cottages are also to be found all over the countryside, and guest houses in every town. But the limited number of rooms means you'll have to book in advance. On weekdays, Brussels and Antwerp are busier and more expensive than at weekends. The opposite is true for Ghent, Bruges... In summer, prices rise in cities like Bruges and the seaside resorts. So be sure to book early.

For food lovers

Breakfast is generally included, and if not, the price is indicated (between €15 and €25 extra per person). In Flanders (and in some Flemish-owned hotels in Wallonia), breakfast often includes a glass of sparkling wine, or even champagne in the most exclusive establishments!
