A giant beach party on the neighboring island of Anguilla.

Known as one of the biggest beach parties in the Caribbean, August Monday takes place every year on the first Monday in August during Carnival in Anguilla (part of the Anguilla Summer Festival), a former British island to the north of St. Martin. It's a giant party, on the beach in front of which dozens of boats anchor, with concerts, DJs, lots of people and lots of booze. A boat race starts at 1pm from Sandy Ground beach. Crossings are organized from Saint-Martin.
