When to go Portugal ?
On the coast, the climate is oceanic but rather unpredictable with, in spring and autumn, numerous showers that can occur without warning. In the Algarve and Alentejo, the climate is more Mediterranean, where the sun shines the most and it rains the least. On the other hand, in the interior and mountainous Beiras, be sure to find out before going hiking at altitude (on www.meteocon sult.fr for example). Even in summer, the mountains are dangerous.
Officially, the climate is oceanic temperate. So, mild and humid... and subject to the whims of the weather. The minimum temperatures vary from 7.5 to 13°C and the maximums from 17 to 31°C. On the whole, winters are never too cold (average temperatures between 5 and 12 °C) and summers are moderately hot (average temperatures between 21 and 25 °C). Your bathing pleasure is guaranteed with the number of resorts along the Atlantic coast. In general, when the spring season comes, there is little to worry about in terms of climate.
