In Lesbos, the village where the poetess Sappho was born welcomes women from all over the world for two weeks.
Every year since 2000, the International Women's Festival has been held at Skala Eressos, on the island of Lesbos. For two weeks in September, the birthplace of the poetess Sappho welcomes women from all over the world. On the program for this LGBTQ+ (but especially lesbian) event: concerts, performances, DJ sets, traditional dance classes, queer cinema screenings... The village hosts visual artists, yoga classes, readings, sea outings: anything of interest to festival vacationers. A unique women's event.
