This festival, increasingly popular, recalls the African origins of the Cherifian Kingdom! A nice way to remember.

Gnaoui music is gaining more and more followers every year and is gradually becoming part of the popular culture of the Kingdom. Originally from the sub-Saharan culture and strongly marked by the slave heritage of this area of Africa, this movement is one of the identity factors of Morocco in general and southern Morocco in particular. Linked to the Muslim religion and the concept of transcendental dance, the Gnaoua festival has spread its know-how to several cities in the country, including Marrakech and Essaouira.
