When to go Morocco ?
As climates vary greatly from region to region, high and low seasons also differ. On the coasts, the high season is summer, from about mid-June to mid-September, while in Marrakech, the high season is from mid-September to mid-June. Travelling in the low season offers certain advantages, financial, organizational and also tranquility. Avoid the period of Ramadan, during which the country is at a standstill and most shops are closed.
The climate and seasons differ from one region to another in Morocco. On the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts of Morocco, the high tourist season is summer, from around mid-June to mid-September. On the other hand, elsewhere it is the low tourist season in Morocco, especially in the desert southern part in summer because of the crushing heat (up to 50 °C). In the Marrakech and southern part of Marrakech, the high tourist season is rather the rest of the year, from mid-September to mid-June.
