BUSHMILLS DISTILLERY
Go there and contact
The oldest official distillery in the world of whisky is located in Bushmills County in Northern Ireland. The origins of the Old Bushmills date back to 1276 but obtained in 1608. It then begins to develop and specialise in the manufacture of bouquets and single malt. Always active, or can visit the small museum to know everything about its history, and the different stages in the development of the famous whisky. At the end of the visit, a small tasting is provided, of course, after observing the phases of the manufacturing process: after having undergone a triple distillation, the water is therefore separated from alcohol. The alcohol is then refined and the best quality will be preserved in oak barrels. Then start the period of aging, and finally bottling (or not with spring water). All this to be discovered on the spot. Bushmills offers various variations of whisky and fondue, such as, for example, the Bushmills Original, dry, with woody and fruity flavours, or Bushmills Malt 16 years old, very perfumed with a caramel taste… Weddings of delicate flavours and pointes of caramel, surprising tastes to discover on site, in the midst of the Irish atmosphere.
