Vercelli and its history, hospitality as a constant in time, a common denominator from Roman times to the nineteenth century.
The route, through the evocation of places, atmospheres and flavors, represents an unusual walk in search of memory pills. Rendezvous at the Osteria for the pure pleasure of "being together", smoking a cigar, playing cards and talking, drinking and eating. Places of joy or perdition, the chronicles were fighting for facts and gossip. But not only taverns, also bistros and trattorias, inns and guesthouses, then cafés and hotels, the usual scene frequented by neighbors and also by travelers passing through.
As investigators of the past, the participants of this guided tour will pass through the doors of the MAC (Civic Archaeological Museum "L. Bruzza") and the Leone Museum to discover curious material and documentary survivals, along the streets of the historic center they will meet traces of a distant world, swallowed by the change of the city. There will be surprises, inaccessible places will be opened for the occasion.
A tasting of Vermouth and local pastries, offered by the Delegation of Vercelli of the Italian Academy of Cuisine and the Pasticceria Follis, will be the welcome end of this journey through time.
