In the northern part of the island, near Kyrénia, a festival with concerts, shows but also activities or hikes.
The festival season runs from February to November and is usually in full swing with the orchid festival in Lapta. On the program: guided walks on mountain trails to examine the rare wild orchids. As with most northern Cypriot festivals, the village is transformed into a festive venue with stalls selling organic products and cultural souvenirs, among other things, and folk dance performances that give a deeper insight into the culture of the region.
