Like Louisiana, Tennessee celebrates Mardi Gras. Although the celebrations are less extensive than in Louisiana cities, it's still a highlight of the year for many communities.
In Nashville, for example, numerous events celebrate Holy Week, such as the Mardi Gras ball Le Grand Ball, held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel (watch out for prices ranging from $200 to $2,000), the themed evening with concerts and Creole specialties in the halls of the Assemby Food Hall or the Mardi Gras Bar Crawl. Most of the state's major cities, and even some of the smaller ones, have their own programs, so be sure to check their websites.
