Originating from the Spanish religious culture, this celebration corresponds to the day of Epiphany (feast of the kings) which also marks the end of the Christmas holidays. With family, friends or neighbors, Ticos gather to pray together based on the rosary and Christmas carols. Processions, serenades and rosaries are scheduled throughout the day. Usually, after the prayer, there is coffee with tamales, rompope, aguadulce and all kinds of typical pastries and drinks that are shared.
