Timetable
Most cafés are open from early morning until late evening. If you opt for a bar, they usually open around 11am and some only from mid-afternoon.
Budget & Tips
As with restaurants, tipping is not compulsory, but it's a good idea to leave around 10% of the bill if you're satisfied with the service.
As for drinks, prices are slightly lower than in France, or even similar in Estonia (inflation due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict has passed).
Outside the major cities, remember to withdraw cash, as credit cards are not accepted everywhere.
Age restrictions
As in France, alcohol consumption is generally reserved for those over 18.
Kids
The destination is ideal for children. The restaurants all offer menus to suit their tastes and your budget. Many have indoor and outdoor play equipment. They can enter the bars, often accompanied by an adult. Here, you'll never see people showing any antipathy towards your children - quite the contrary! In fact, they're a great place to meet people.
Smokers
All the Baltic countries have opted to ban smoking in public areas. Smoking areas are generally provided, and if you're on a terrace, make sure your smoke doesn't disturb your neighbor.
