Since 2012, KúKú Campers has been making it possible for travelers to stay in Iceland with greater flexibility, thanks to its motorhomes tailored to solo travelers, duos, or groups. Alexia, a member of the KÚKÚ team, opened the doors to this way of traveling for us.

What types of vehicles do you offer?
We have a good variety of campers, from the classic low-budget 2-person van to the 3 or 5-person van for small or large families! We also have 4x4s, for 2 to 5 people. Most of our vans are equipped with night-time heating systems for added comfort.
Do you have French-speaking staff?
We always have at least one French-speaking member of the team at all times, which our customers really appreciate. We have plenty of French-speaking staff!
Is it possible to park anywhere with a camper van in Iceland?
Wild camping has not been allowed in Iceland for several years. You must sleep in approved campsites, a list of which can be found on our website.
Finally, what do you like best about Iceland as a French expatriate?
The best thing for me is the feeling of freedom and constant security, the people are very kind and respectful. It's great to be here, it's like traveling to a country where there are no limits and you can feel that real vacation feeling you've always been looking for.
