GEPOG

Created in 1993, the Groupe d'étude et de protection des oiseaux en Guyane (GEPOG) is a registered nature protection association. GEPOG's objectives are to study and protect birds in French Guiana, to participate in the management of natural areas and to contribute fully to public environmental debate. The GEPOG is also involved in environmental education for the public in French Guiana. The organization focuses its efforts on terrestrial (savannahs and birdlife), marine (groupers, dolphins, sharks and rays) and urban environments.
