Practical information : Treat yourself (& others) Montenegro
Timetable
Shops are often open as early as 8am and do not close until 8pm. Sometimes, the opening hours are extended until 10pm, or even midnight in the summer. On Sundays, many shops remain open, especially food shops. Markets are less numerous than in France, generally one per town, but are open every day.
Budget & Tips
Prices are generally lower than in France, except for clothes. Wait until you get there to buy beach supplies, sports equipment and small electronics. Take advantage of this to have your computer repaired or your mobile phone reinforced, as the very competent workforce is much cheaper(served). Cigarettes are worth it because a third cheaper.
Sales
Like everywhere else, there are big sales, in the order of 20 to 50%, in February and July. The reductions are less important than in France, but they are real sales on products of the current season. Locally, the rest of the year is punctuated by sales in stores that display "Popust" on their front.
What's very local
The markets, open every day, are very practical. Located in the city centre, they have several functions. In addition to the food market, as in France, you will find a number of clothing, electronic and craft vendors. The ideal place to make your gifts!
