The first edition of the Tunisia Awards took place in Hammamet on Saturday 27 September. This ceremony organized by the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism and the producer Tarek Ben Ammar aims at promoting tourism in the country. The Tunisia awards thus rewarded 7 major players in this sector by awarding them a trophy. "And the winners are...": Diara Abou Habibi for her ecological project in Tozeur (Trophée Carthage), Bernandino Léon for his qualities as a "great diplomat" (Trophée Didon), the music festival Les Dunes électroniques (Trophée Dougga), the association for the safeguard of the Medina of Gafsa (El Hnaya Trophy), the Hasdrubal Hotel (Hannibal Trophy), the tour operator "DétourS" (Sophonisbe Trophy) and the Media World Traveler (Hasdrubal Trophy).
