KEBILI VOYAGES
Douz is an oasis town in southern Tunisia, 488 km from Tunis. It is considered the gateway to the Sahara and attracts many tourists. Douz was once the most important oasis in the region, and date cultivation was an important source of income for the inhabitants. Today, tourism has taken over and the commercial sector has been relegated to third place. The town boasts a typical market selling handicrafts, donkeys and camels. On the cultural front, Douz has preserved its traditions and boasts an ethnic museum as well as a museum about the region. The annual International Sahara Festival is the town's most important event. It attracts many visitors and highlights Douz's cultural identity. The town is also famous for the Grand Erg Oriental, a dune desert in the Sahara.

The course this journey, the timing, meals, the traditional tent, the group of camel drivers, the guide, the atmosphere proved beyond my hopes. Habib had reserved 2 hotels: the residence with Ghizen (www.villadjerba.onlc.fr) for the first night following the late arrival to Djerba airport and the hotel SaharaDouz (www.saharadouz.com) for the last night on the Tunisian floor. These services for very welcoming price.
All the people of the group enjoyed much the Marabouts, friendly guides and camel drivers, this stay in safety...
Get in touch with Habib, go in the desert, go to the countries dream and go, far from the media hubbub.
Habib is somewhat reserved, but very attentive to his guests and very efficient. Trust completely. After several méharées in Mauritania, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, I was bluffed by value.
