Practical information : Going out Belize
Timetable
If you're looking to party, you'll find plenty in San Pedro, Caye Caulker, Placencia or even Belize City, but there aren't many discos outside the tourist areas or the capital. They open around 10 a.m. and generally close around 3 a.m., or even later on weekends.
Budget & Tips
Club entry fees vary by location and may be subject to change depending on the event and occasion. Generally, ladies get in free if they're on the guest list and come before 11pm. Expect to pay around BZ$ 25 for entry on a weekday with no special event.
To be booked
On festive days, it can be worth making reservations at clubs, especially if you want to have a table to yourself. Find out more on the website of your target venue.
Night transport
In the evening, except on the islands, we recommend you take a well-known cab or VTC to avoid any surprises, especially in the capital.
Age restrictions
You can't join a club before you're 18. If you don't look your age, we'll ask for proof of age.
Smokers
Smoking is permitted in most clubs, although some have designated smoking areas.
Tourist traps
Beware of drug sellers, who are very common on the islands in particular, but also in the capital and major cities. Not only is drug consumption prohibited, at least for foreigners, but the products can be adulterated and even dangerous.
